PR Tracker is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your immigration data is sensitive, and we treat it that way. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and what stays entirely on your device.
All of the following is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never transmitted to any server:
PR Tracker does not use iCloud sync. Your data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export it.
If you enable Location Tracking, PR Tracker uses Apple's significant-change location monitoring to detect when you cross the Canadian border. This means:
Location access requires "Always" permission to work in the background. You can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings → PR Tracker → Location.
If you enable notifications, PR Tracker schedules local notifications on your device for:
All notifications are local — they are scheduled on-device and do not involve any external server.
If you connect your calendar, PR Tracker reads events to find travel-related keywords and suggests them as potential stay entries. Calendar data is:
Document scans are protected by Face ID or Touch ID via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessible to PR Tracker.
PR Tracker does not use:
When you export your data as JSON or CSV, the file is saved to your device and shared via the iOS share sheet. You control where it goes. PR Tracker does not receive a copy.
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. PR Tracker does not collect or store payment information.
PR Tracker is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
